Event catering specialists Baba Ganoush will be creating a feast that’s as satisfying for your eyes as it is your tummies, with a tempting taste of Tuscany! Think indulgent Italian sharing platters with rich and sumptuous colours and textures – you’ll be transported to sunnier climes with a taste to match. Baba Ganoush will be on hand to meet with you in person and discuss how they can tailor a menu to your needs for a truly bespoke catering experience…

People often ask us why we are called Baba Ganoush… so let us let you into a little secret! Baba Ganoush is also known as ‘poor man’s caviar’ and this is the reason we decided to name ourselves after this delicious dish. The idea of taking a simple ingredient like an aubergine, and with a little love, a few well-chosen accompaniments you can transform it into one of the world’s tastiest delicacies – this is an ethos that our team live by in our kitchen. We like to take the very best local and seasonal produce and turn it into something spectacular for guests to enjoy in celebration.

As a husband and wife team with experience in both kitchens and event management, we feel this gives us a greater understanding of what works, what’s on trend and how to make sure you and your guests are wowed at your event! Food brings people together and is such an important part of our lives as in binds us through all different types of occasions. This is why we love to work with clients to come up with a menu that is personal and bespoke to them and incorporates all of their favourite things.

We like to use the very best local produce and we make it our mission to find out exactly where things come from. It is so important to work with each season and our suppliers are key in helping us get the very best out of what Yorkshire has to offer. We are lucky enough to be able to use some of the best local suppliers such as M&K Butchers, DeliFresh, Goodness Veg, Fowlers of York and The Yorkshire Lobster Company. As well as this our team of chefs are keen foragers and love to pickle and preserve things they can find in a Yorkshire hedgerow. At one point we even reared our own pigs!

The Yorkshire Bartender
Returning again for our Open Weekend is master of mixology Yorkshire Bartender who will be bringing fresh ideas and delicious cocktail concoctions to the weekend’s events. Offering a unique twist to the traditional cocktail presentation, expect to be wowed by a new breed of showmanship!

Callum from Yorkshire Bartender had this to say about joining us…

“We’re really starting to see our couples pushing the boundaries with what they can do in terms of catering. Theatrical elements to your bar; whether it be through the use of dry ice, fire or smoke, are beginning to become a staple at many weddings. At the Yorkshire Bartender, we’re developing new ways in which we can add that wow factor. We can’t wait to show the PapaKåta Couples a few of our new ideas.

At Yorkshire Bartender our aim is to listen to, create and perfect your vision. Nothing is out of reach to satisfy this goal. We love the process of exploration that helps us to understand your personal palate. The drinks are our speciality but our style, flair, creativity, sophistication, passion and attention to detail all combine to deliver the overall luxury experience”.

Experience these delicious food & drink trends in the setting of our Teepees and Sperry Tents on Saturday the 13th and Sunday 14th October 2018 at Escrick Park.
