I knew from before we got engaged that I wanted a Tipi wedding, so once we got engaged we arranged to visit the open day with our parents. Whilst they had hoped we would opt for a more traditional wedding they fell in love with the cosy autumnal atmosphere and could understand exactly why we wanted the Tipis for our special day.
I love craft and DIY projects, so having a blank canvas (literally) was ideal for me. It kept me busy for months in the build-up to the wedding.
The Papakata team were excellent. Nothing was too much trouble, and the booking process was so smooth and easy. The set up was so speedy and efficient. It was raining on the day the team put the Tipi's up, but the guys were so cheerful and had smiles on their faces the whole time. Our guests were all completely overwhelmed with how stunning the tipis were. The fairy lights, the firepits and the cosy atmosphere were just perfect for our October wedding. People still talk about it over two years later, and in fact, I've had a few friends ask me to help them plan their weddings as they've said ours was the best they've ever been to.
I would recommend Papakata to anyone thinking of having a Tipi (or Sperry tent) wedding. I know that there are other companies around but we trusted the years of experience you have at Papakata and the fact that you're upfront with your pricing. Some other companies I contacted sounded like they were cheaper until you realise there are additional costs for set-up and take down, delivery, flooring etc.
