THOR’S Tipi

We’re super excited to be launching York’s first ever pop-up Christmas Bar on the 19^th November!

We’ve been working with Lunchbox Theatrical Productions (the team behind Yorkshire’s Winter Wonderland) to create THOR’S tipi bar, a luxury city centre Christmas bar, with Winter BBQ, local draft Ales & Christmas cocktails, DJ sessions and a Hot Cocoa Bar for the little Vikings.

Drawing inspiration from York’s Viking history, you can expect gothic glamour at it’s best. With a roaring fire, reindeer skins, bespoke crafted furnishings & a suspended decorative ceiling.

We’re also working with some shining stars in York’s retail scene to create the ultimate Christmas experience…

Shambles Kitchen believe fast food shouldn’t mean bad food, and all their food is lovingly prepared from scratch using only fresh, raw ingredients. They’ll be serving a selection of Bratwurst with toppings such as Lingonberry Jam, Pulled Pork & Pickles.

And if that’s not enough, we’ve got Donut Kitchen providing delicious donuts daily. Traditional sugared donuts, complemented by a range of homemade dipping sauce’s – watch our for the Christmas special! Voted the 6^th best donuts in the UK, these guys know how to make a donut.

Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without Mulled Wine and a Christmas cocktail (or two). Speakeasy Libations will be serving drinks through the day and into the night, their Warm Apple Pie, made with the distinctive Zubrowka Bison Grass Vodka is legendary. We’ll be serving traditional Gluhwein (Mulled wine with Cherry Brandy & Spice). Why not ask Ross from Speakeasy if you fancy trying a special cocktail? It is Christmas after all!

We’re working with York Coffee Emporium to provide delicious Artisan coffee everyday. They’ve expertly crafted a blend for us, The THOR’S Hammer Espresso Blend, to make you feel like a Viking!

Finally, our draft Ales have been lovingly crafted by Brass Castle, a 12 barrel brewhouse in the centre of Malton. They’re providing 3 Ales & a Lager, why not try them all and have a Smorgasbord of Ales?
