The scoop: PapaKåta’s TV debut on Emmerdale Live!
Following the success of Emmerdale Live, the 40th Anniversary for the Yorkshire based Soap Opera on Wednesday 17th October 2012, we wanted to give you a unique behind the scenes view of our fabulous giant teepees in all their glory.
Here at PapaKåta, we worked alongside the talented Emmerdale crew and set designers to achieve this fabulous interior for an explosive wedding full of drama and excitement. It’s been months in the planning and taken numerous meetings with the script writers, directors and set designers, as well as studio site visits which culminated in the amazing televised results that were showcased on Wednesday’s live episode…the hardest part? Keeping the storyline and our excitement under wraps!
There aren’t many occasions when we allow our beautiful giant hat kata teepees to be referred to as wedding marquees or wedding tents, but we made an exception for Emmerdale’s very own Wedding Planner Nicola King, a force to be reckoned with!
Without further ado, please check out these beautiful images taken by Lisa Stonehouse www.lisastonehouse.co.uk on the set of Emmerdale only hours before Emmerdale went live, enjoy…
Candelabras and PapaKåta teepees poles adorned with flowers and white muslin swathes give these tents a beautiful finish. Of course there is the obligatory Emmerdale equipment in place for the Live filming of the 40th Anniversary episode.
Lights, camera, action, the round bar is ready and poised in prime place for the drama to unfold!
Plenty of PapaKåta fairy lights give this wedding the teepee interior that many Brides & Grooms, (including Katie & Declan) dream of!
The ultimate diva sparkly stage and back drop, muslin drapes look beautiful and help to identify different areas within the teepees.
Here at PapaKåta we like to think we’re the makers of happy memories and weddings, here’s hoping Katie and Declan’s romance will last longer than their wedding cake!
Trevor, our giant mirror ball made a guest appearance and added to the celebrations by being his usual twinkly self.
Bringing the outside in with a fairy light festooned silver birch tree, giving height to the centre piece and making a beautiful focal point for the present tables. A special shout out to Taransay Chisholm, the Art Director at Emmerdale, for her gorgeous ideas that we’ll be suggesting to our excited PapaKåta Bride, Grooms and Event planners for years to come.
With lots of love and starstruck giggles from us all at PapaKåta x
