Spring Open Weekend 2018: The Finishing Touches

With weekly blog posts filling you in on our PapaKåta Spring Open Weekend 2018 catering and style suppliers, you’ll now hopefully be getting a taste for the look and style we have planned for our Teepees and Sperry Tent. If you’re not already excited…read on and we challenge you not to be salivating and swooning over these beautiful finishing touches. They’re the icing on the cake for what will be a very pretty and inspiring weekend.

To complement our ‘Romantic Meadow’ florals, wedding and event planner Natalie Hewitt has hand-picked a selection of the finest crockery from event favourite Whitehouse Event Crockery. Stunning in its simplicity, the selection we’ve chosen will sit unobtrusively alongside the delicate florals. Sumptuous silk runners and napkins will add texture and soften the natural wood finish of our PapaKåta tables and chairs.

Showing you around our Teepees and Sperry Tents really is the highlight of our year. We sing their praises all year long, but once you see these beauties, you’ll soon see for yourselves what makes them so very special. Alongside our Teepees and Sperry Tents, you’ll also be able to see, feel and sample our luxury Finishing Touches in person. The Open Weekend is the perfect opportunity for you to collate your own wedding or event wish-list, creating the look you want and helping you to visualise your day.

This Spring the Sperry stationery, brought to you by I am Nat, will offer a pop of Pantone’s colour-of-the-year UltraViolet. This is a masterclass in bringing up-to-date trends to your event, ensuring the details are current and contemporary whilst still being classic and timeless.

Using hand printed methods and rose gold foil, Rose Press’s event stationery is super-special. Taking inspiration from our ‘Romantic Meadow’ colour palette, the Teepee stationery will be elegant and dreamy.

The Barn Bakery have become renowned for their exquisite looking cakes – pop along and taste them next weekend and you’ll see why their reputation also extends to creating delicious taste sensations with the most creative confectionery.

Team PapaKåta were treated to a Barn Bakery extravaganza as part of our 12^th Birthday celebrations and we were not disappointed by the look and taste of this beauty…

Everyone loves a photo booth, even those who say they don’t, in fact, especially those who say they don’t! They’re usually the ones left in the booth at the end of the night! And what’s not to love about a Booth Revolution photo booth?! A contemporary version of the old-school classic photo booth. A fun and exciting memory-maker as well as being great entertainment for any event, party or wedding reception.

We have a few surprises up our sleeves for our Spring Open Weekend and our bespoke PapaKåta photo booth in association with Booth Revolution is one of them – whilst we’re itching to tell you, we’ve been sworn to secrecy; all we will say is that it’ll be worth the wait! Come rain or shine Brolly Bucket save the day! There will be a selection of Brolly Bucket’s beautiful and bright brollies on display at the Open Weekend. Like anyone planning an event, we’re hoping they won’t be needed, but there’s nothing wrong with being prepared and when preparations look so pretty what’s not to love?!

Our Spring Open Weekend will be held next weekend (17th & 18th March) at Escrick Park Estate near York. It’s the perfect opportunity to step inside the Teepees and Sperry Tents and talk to the Papa team about the finer details of your wedding or event.
