What It’s Really About
Our wedding was about us, our life together and our family and friends who had been part of who we are today.
We put the whole day together ourselves from start to finish. We used all of our contacts and pulled in many favours to make it truly special which added to the atmosphere as everyone had helped to ‘do their bit’. Sourcing everything ourselves and cooking for family on the Friday evening before the big day just made the whole weekend even more special and intimate.
For the wedding breakfast and evening hogroast we used Mike Kernall Catering from Harrogate who had come highly recommended from Papakata the Teepee people in York. We gave him the brief to blow us away and by god he did. He put together such an amazing, interesting and most of all different menu that our friends still talk about it now.
In the evening we let Chinese lanterns off into the balmy summer sky and partied all night in the teepees with our friends and family before setting off to Italy for our honeymoon.
