PapaKåta and You & Your Wedding Magazine Shoot
Nestled in the North Yorkshire countryside on a gloriously sunny Tuesday in August stood our giant teepees alongside the most gorgeous and glamorous peeps, as ‘You & Your Wedding’ magazine descended on the village of Harome for the day. Arriving from London, with beautiful bridal gowns, bohemian inspired gentleman’s attire and the most amazing headpieces we have ever seen….
After months of preparation and excitement, the day had finally arrived for the photographer, stylists, make-up artists and models to work their magic and begin their fashion shoot inside our PapaKåta teepees. The Star Inn at Harome made for a stunning location, surrounded by thatched cottages and rolling hills, the teepees looked perfect and we couldn’t have asked for more!
The day began with dressing the teepees, adorned with our Moroccan lanterns, reindeer skins and paper lace bunting. To bring in the outdoors we added picture perfect flowers and birdcages brimming with hydrangeas and ivy, all kindly provided by Firenza Floral Designs. The finishing touches included delicate antique French crockery courtesy of The Vintage Tea Chest.
Firstly photos were taken inside the teepees, with the fairy lights and giant mirror ball twinkling in the background creating a perfect setting for the ‘happy couple’. There were staged shots with the models playing the role of bride and groom, bridesmaid, flower girl and page boy, all dressed suitably ethereal – the boys in dapper tweed and the girls in lace, pearls and adorned with feathers.
Interior shots of the teepees were followed by a walk through the picturesque village of Harome (drawing some bemused looks from the locals!) and a trip to the barley field where the photographer got some beautiful frames of the sunshine beaming through.
The final shot of the day was taken as the Sun set behind the teepees, silhouetting the days beautiful inhabitants in a group shot, only shortly before the team jumped in a taxi to make it back to the train for London.
An amazing day in the life of the PapaKåta teepees, providing the backdrop for a beautiful fashion story. Now all we have to do is wait in anticipation for the release of the issue!
