Introducing our 2016 #PapaCouples!
Wow, that was a lot harder than we thought! Choosing just one amazing #PapaCouple from all the applications that arrived at PapaHQ over the festive break was just impossible. We really are overwhelmed by the fabulous clients we have, and look forward to following you all on your Papa journeys. Because the standard of entries was off the scale, we’ve decided to have both a Teepee and Sperry Tent-loving couple to follow on the lead up to their big days.
Our Teepee couple, Scott and Alice, jumped to the front of the pile by warming the hearts of the PapaTeam. Maybe it was the post Christmas ‘tired & emotional’ feelings, but the fact that Scott hadn’t told Alice he’d made the entry, and his lovely words about what it would mean to him to make her feel like a princess on their wedding day, almost brought a tear to our eyes! We’re so glad Alice said yes when Scott told her the news!
We fell in love with our Sperry couple, Anya and Craig’s story of teepee vs Sperry anquish. Anya, a true Yorkshire girl living in London, had made a pact with her sister that teepees would feature at her wedding – even before her engagement on the amazing Amalfi coast. Heading back to the UK to share their engagement news with their family, the couple rode past our teepees on that very day. Fate it would seem. But then along came the Sperry tents and it was love at first click. Cue soul searching…and it was all change to planning what sounds like it will be a stunning celebration under the Sperry sailcloth.
We also want to give a special mention to two other couples who’s wedding plans caught our imagination. Our Teepee wedding runner’s up, Rachel & Dumo, are childhood sweethearts who’s big day has an international feel. With guests travelling from across the globe to help them celebrate, their traditional country wedding come colourful African party – with some spectacular secret surprises thrown in – sounds like it will be a wedding like no other.
And Anna and Jamie, our Sperry runner’s up, are trail-blazing the way to a first wedding at Holmfirth vineyard! They’re also celebrating their 10th anniversary as a couple, the same year Papa Turns Ten, and we can’t wait to see their English Wedding meets French vineyard theme come to life.
