AUTUMN OPEN WEEKEND 2019: THE FINISHING TOUCHES

Hopefully, you’re as excited as we are about joining us in our Tipis and Sperry Tents for our upcoming Autumn Open Weekend at Stonor Park on the 12th & 13th October 2019. In this blog post, we’ll be sharing the suppliers and details behind our beautiful finishing touches, the added sparkle for what will be an unforgettable and inspiring weekend.

PapaKåta Furnishings and Finishing Touches 

Showing you around our Tipis and Sperry Tents really is the highlight of our year. We sing their praises all year long, but once you step inside these beauties, you’ll soon see for yourself what makes them so very special. Alongside our Tipis and Sperry Tents, you’ll also be able to see, feel and sample our luxury Finishing Touches in person. The Open Weekend is the perfect opportunity for you to collate your own wedding or event wish-list, creating the look you want and helping you to visualise your day.

We’re so delighted to be welcoming Fine Art Wedding and Event Photographer Helen Warner to our Autumn Open Weekend. Helen is in the perfect position to chat to you about your own PapaKåta event, having previously shot inside our Tipis and Sperry Tents; most recently capturing Papa Couple Jess and Rob’s stunning Tipi Wedding.

We will also be working with Helen on our Open Weekend style shoot – ensuring all of the sumptuous details are documented and available for you to devour on the PapaBlog following the Open Weekend. Helen will be joining us at Stonor Park on Saturday (12th October), when she will be available to chat to you about your own PapaKåta wedding and event photography requirements.

The Cotswold Florists

We’re almost hesitant to disclose what The Cotswold Florists will be bringing to the Open Weekend festivities, other than to say, that they will of course be bringing a splendid array of fresh-cut flowers, gorgeous arrangements and jaw-dropping installations! You can expect to be wowed and romanced by their skilfully-honed expertise and rest assured that thankfully, all this is provided with a social conscience and low carbon footprint.

Bureau Design

The talented creators behind Bureau Design Event Stationery will once again be wowing us with their beautiful and masterfully handcrafted creations. Their exquisite work really is the epitome of wedding stationery chic and the perfect accompaniment to any wedding breakfast, allowing you to elevate your table-scape to another level of event elegance.

Table to Dine For

Creating an atmosphere and sense of ambience really is the holy grail of event planning! Without it, your event could feel flat and lifeless, with it, you and your guests will feel connected, relaxed and joyous. Whilst often forgotten, candles and lighting really are key to this. For our Autumn Open Weekend, we have turned to table-scape gurus Table to Dine for who will be adding the sparkle to our Farmhouse Tables with glowing amber votives and decadent candlesticks.

DJ Al Dente by Apres Ski Bands

With as an intriguing pseudonym as DJ Al Dente, his name certainly precedes him and we too are keen to know how his music translates as being ‘neither soft, nor hard, but somewhere in the middle’! Some would go as far to say this would be the musical definition of perfection…but we’ll let you be the judges of that! Join us for our Open weekend at Stonor Park on the 12th and 13th October and enjoy some chilled out weekend tunes, the perfect antidote to your working week.

DJ Al Dente is just one part of Après Ski Bands offering – a portfolio of the best party bands in Europe. Whether you’re having a wedding, anniversary, bar mitzvah or you just deserve a party, Après Ski Bands have the most fun-loving acts or every occasion.

Whitehouse Event Crockery

We’ve hand-picked a selection of the finest crockery from event favourite Whitehouse Event Crockery. Stunning in its simplicity, the selection we’ve chosen will sit unobtrusively alongside the delicate florals.

Stonor Park

If you’re looking for a breath-taking backdrop to your own celebration, then this really is the perfect place to start (and most likely finish) your search.

One of the greatest advantages of Stonor Park as a wedding venue is the sheer choice of locations throughout the park. Ranging from the formal Lawns and gardens close to the house to The Hilltop; a wonderful, fun location which provides one of the most romantic views across the Chiltern Hills and Oxfordshire countryside.  The Hilltop is a perfect site for Tipi or Sperry Tent Woodland Weddings.

For the PapaKåta Autumn Open Weekend be sure to explore the beautiful grounds of Stonor Park. Not forgetting the Walled Gardens where you’ll find our 7.5 x 13.5m Sperry Tent, nestled amongst the stunning 17th century terrace – the perfect location for an intimate gathering or outdoor ceremony.

Our Autumn Open Weekend will be held next weekend (12th & 13th October) at Stonor Park near Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire. It’s the perfect opportunity to step inside the Tipis and Sperry Tents and talk to the Papa team about the finer details of your wedding or event.
