Not long now! There are only 5 weeks to go until our Spring Open Weekend on the 28^th & 29^th March, when our beautiful Tipis and stunning Sperry® Tents will be in their spiritual Yorkshire home at Escrick Park Estate.

Over the last 14 years, we’ve had the privilege of working with some wonderful PapaKåta couples and planners on fabulous events and as the 2020 Wedding and Event season approaches we’re keen to share our experience and knowledge with you. As if that weren’t enough of a reason to join us, here are 10 reasons why coming to the PapaKåta Spring Open Weekend on the 28^th & 29^th March is a great idea…

1. Sperry Tents and Tipis

If you’ve ever wondered what makes our Sperry® Tents and Tipis truly unique, join us for our Spring Open Weekend and experience them for yourself. You can see, feel, smell and even hear our tents first-hand. From their awe-inspiring silhouettes, stunning natural canvas (no PVC here, thank you very much), to the warm inviting atmosphere created by the Tipis open fires and the cosy glow of the Sperry’s oyster-coloured canvas. Expect a warm Papa welcome and a fresh and inspiring design scheme to get those creative juices flowing.

2. Be Inspired

Whilst it’s important that your wedding or event stands the test of time, it’s hard not to be swayed by seasonal trends and succumb to the barrage of Instagram influence fodder. We carefully consider current trends that are timeless, yet they are as fresh as the day you celebrated with them as your backdrop. For more inspiration, be sure to follow us on Pinterest and Instagram where you’ll find how others have styled their own PapaKåta weddings and events.

3. Finishing Touches

As trends and styles evolve, so too do our carefully selected Finishing Touches. Every Open Weekend we showcase new bespoke items to accompany our existing edit of luxury furnishings. The Open Weekend is the perfect opportunity to see our finishing touches, those items that will help you to create your dream wedding and event looks. As well as helping you to envisage your day, you will be able to play around with ideas, try out our seating options and create your bespoke floorplan – tape measures at the ready!

4. Escrick Park Estate

Our Spring Open Weekend is set in the beautiful surroundings of Escrick Park Estate, complete with an outdoor woodland ceremony area. If you haven’t already booked your venue, this is a picture-perfect setting and if you have, then come and fall in love with its rural charm and enjoy relaxing in one of Yorkshires finest Estates.

5. Victoria Ivy Floral Design

The Spring Open Weekend Sperry® Tent and Tipi styling will be brought to life with beautiful florals by the personable, professional and fabulously talented Victoria Ivy. Foliage in muted greens such as eucalyptus will accompany soft blousy florals in dusky pinks and smoky mauves. Cloud-like hanging florals will create drama and draw the eye up to the Tipi and Sperry Tent’s impressive canopies.

6. Natalie Pluck Photography

The photographer behind PapaKåta couple Emma & Tannah’s sensational Sperry images – Natalie Pluck will be capturing the Open Weekend style details. Natalie will also be there over the course of the weekend; be sure to pick her brains and consider her for your own event photography. If all you want to do is sit back and relax in our Tipis and Sperry tents whilst imagining your day unfold, we’ve got it in hand… we will be in touch following the Open Weekend with a roundup of the event and what is sure to be an inspiring gallery.

7. The Shambles Kitchen, The Workhorse Bar and Cherry Blossom Cakes

If you’re undecided on your wedding breakfast, or can’t choose the perfect party menu, The Shambles Kitchen will be creating a feast that’s as satisfying for your eyes as it is your tummies! Meanwhile, taste buds will be tickled by a resplendent array of fizz from The Workhorse Bar. Add to this a tasty array of treats by Cherry Blossom Cakes, topping it all off with their exquisite artistry of wedding and event delicacies.

8. Club Class Entertainment and Booth Revolution

What better way to spend your weekend than enjoying some chilled out classics by Club Class Entertainment? Accompanied by a live saxophonist, the perfect pairing to kick start your Saturday and Sunday! Commemorate the weekend’s festivities and celebrate your wedding or event planning A-team with Booth Revolution – they’ll provide you with the perfect entry to your wedmin or party planner!

10. Meet the Team

The experienced PapaKåta team will be ready and awaiting your arrival. There’s nothing quite like sitting down face-to-face and thrashing out the logistics of your big day. Each of our events is bespoke and as unique as those who party in our Tipis and Sperry Tents – let us tailor your event to you and together we’ll make the celebration of a lifetime!
